Happy Creek adds a new Director to the Board

May 28, 2012 - Vancouver, British Columbia - Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: HPY, the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it has added Michael Lerner to the Company’s Board of Directors.

Mr. Lerner has worked in institutional equity for the past fifteen years in various roles, primarily covering U.S. mutual funds and hedge funds investing in Canada. Mr. Lerner has worked for bank-owned investment dealers and small boutiques during his career both as an equity salesperson-trader as well as an investment banker. He continues to work for a boutique investment dealer in Toronto and holds a B.A. from the University of Regina.

Concurrent with this appointment, the Company has granted to Mr. Lerner options to purchase 400,000 common shares of the Company, exercisable for a period of three years at a price of $0.18 per share.
